Finding the best and most hydrating skin product is such a hassle and so easy to give up. Well, I would like to take this time to encourage you to keep searching, because the right products are out there at your nearest skin care aisle. You just need a lot more patience to find what works best for you, and I promise, there’s something out there for everyone.
This is something I often had to tell myself because it almost seemed impossible for me to find time to search for the right skincare products for me. However, with more effort and research, I have gotten to know a lot about my skin and the main things it wants to look healthier. In that process, I have also now found some of the best products out there, and that’s what I will be sharing with you lovely peeps in this blog. So without further ado, here are my top current favorite skincare products that has helped my dry & sensitive skin.
Serums & Moisturizers:
TruSkin Vitamin C Serum
This Vitamin C serum is a live saver! It has improved my skin tone and reduced some of my most stubborn breakouts I’ve had. my skin looked so dull before adding this product to my list. Its natural ingredients have been extremely helpful to me.
I use this every day, after I get out the shower, right before using my toner and moisturizer. It has added a level of skin clarity that no other serum has done for me. I would absolutely recommend this.
Heimish All Clean Balm (Oil Based Cleanser)
This oil based cleanser is my first purchase, and I look forward to buying more! After a long day, this product makes it so much easier to take off my makeup. I adore this as it doesn’t strip off the oils I have left on my face. It is strong enough to clean off all makeup residue. To confirm this, I wipe my face with some baby wipes to make sure I have no makeup left on my face.
Toners & Facial Cleansers:
Rice Water Bright Foaming Cleanser
These facial cleaners are simply amazing. Starting off with the first cleanser , I’ve been able to reduce the dullness on my face. My face feels so much smoother after one wash. It smells very clean and also comes in a nice package. With the nutrients in the rice water, this product helps to tighten pores, as well as help reduce unwanted fine lines. It improves your skin to the level you want. I personally use this about twice a week because I think it has a strong outcome to the point where I don’t need to use it every single day.
Christina Moss Naturals Face Wash
This is a more gentle cleanser compared to the Rice Water Bright cleanser. I absolutely love how simple it looks. With its mildness and natural ingredients, it can still clear out skin impurities and keep your face feeling so soft. It gives a decent amount of foam to help wash off all the dirt on your face. I simply adore this face wash and would totally recommend to anyone in need of a gentle cleanser that works for all skin types.
Beauty of Joseon Bubble Toner
One thing comes to my mind whenever I use this beautifully packaged toner – deep moisture! This is a cleanser that last so long due to the fact that it foams up, which makes it harder to finish up so quickly. K-beauty products are in, and I would definitely recommend this toner to every single person out there. With so much moisture, you start to see a difference within a few days as the toner sits on your face for a longer period of time to keep it hydrated. After using this product, I’ve been able to detect whenever my face looks a little dehydrated. I would recommend the 7-skin Korean method while using this toner. This is when you put on a toner on your face 7 times. It helps to add more moisture to your skin, making it look and feel younger over time. You can always reduce or increase the number of steps you think works best for you.
Hada Labo Milky Lotion (Facial Moisturizer)
This is probably one of the facial moisturizers I have used the longest, and I just love it. An amazing blogger named Signed, Blake recommended it to her audience. I was luckily one of those followers who decided to look into this product and I have not looked back ever since! This moisturizer is very lightweight, and little goes a long way which makes it last so long. With this, your face with stay hydrated, and it will also smoothen your skin. You wake up feeling so refreshed the next morning.
Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream
I haven’t used this cream as long as I have for the Hada Labo Milky moisturizer, but I can say it’s been worth it so far. I mostly use this at night time, especially when my skin feels like it is breaking apart due to dryness. It works wonders overnight, and I’m so glad I came across it.
Black Girl Sunscreen
Have you heard of this life-changing sunscreen? If not, you are missing out. This sunscreen has helped me so much. I have been able to be out and about without being so scared about the sun causing any skin issues that lasts for months. I have an extremely sensitive skin, especially during the summer time. Black Girl Sunscreen does not cause any white cast on your skin, so it works perfectly for darker skin tones, which is just so considerate! As a Black girl, finding sunscreens has not been easy, so this just makes me so happy. On the other hand, it’s very moisturizing as well.
Ever Sheen Cocoa Butter & Red Fox Tub O’Butter Cocoa Butter
I have used the Ever Sheen Cocoa Butter creme for as long as I can remember. It has been my skin’s best friend ever since I was a little girl. My father and younger brother use it as well. Cremes are generally thicker and moisturizes the skin a little bit more than lotions do, and for someone with such a dry skin, I adore how this keeps me so hydrated. It also smells so good!
The Tub O’Butter Creme is much thicker, which makes it a little uncomfortable for me to put it on during the day time. It’s like putting on vaseline on over your body. In that case, I use this only when I feel like my skin needs it, mostly at night. It’s been amazing, and very rejuvenating as well.
Face Masks :
Loreal Pure Clay Cleanser & Dermal Snail Face Masks
I can gladly say that I found the masks that have left my face feeling so clean, and yet so affordable. The Loreal Pure Clay cleanser feels so hydrating after just one use. I only use this about once or twice a week. Every time my skin starts feelings like it needs an additional exfoliation and hydrating, I go straight to this product.
And that leads me to face masks like the Dermal Snail Mask. Did you know that you aren’t supposed to wash off face masks like these? I had no idea! Anyway, masks like these do one thing for me and that is hydrate. Hydration is the main thing I generally lack that could cause my skin to look very chapped and dull. With these masks, I’m able to stay healthy and moisturized. Try pampering yourself once in a while and you’ll start seeing some difference.
Oils :
Castor Oil for Hair, Skin & Nails
I will end this post here by giving you the last, most amazing skin tip, which is to add Castor Oil to your Skin regime. An oil that does it all – to moisturize hair, skin , and nails. Lovely, isn’t it? Castor Oil is very thick, which makes it great for skin and hair hydration. I would definitely recommend this product.
And that brings me to the last skincare product, Bio Oil. This oil helps to moisturize the skin as well, but I personally prefer the Castor Oil. However, Bio Oil is also commonly known to be a helpful product for stretch marks. Can you testify? I am yet to find out. Overall, I find it pretty hydrating as well.
Alright folks, that’s all I have for you for today. What’s you skin type and which product works best for you? Would you look into any of these products? Let me know down in the comments below.
