CELEBRATING GHANA’S BEAUTIFUL INDEPENDENCE DAY

Ghana's Independence Day

March 6 marks Ghana’s Independence Day.

Ghana is a country located in West Africa. As a brief history, Ghana, previously known as Gold Coast, gained independence from Britain in 1957. Kwame Nkrumah led Ghana to gain independence, and he became the first president. Ghana is one of the first African countries to gain independence.

Wrapped in the very famous Kente Cloth handmade in Ghana, I added a few more beads to make up the stunning traditional look that many Ghanaians use to represent the motherland.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, GHANA !!!

On this day, although a thousand miles away from Ghana, I celebrate this independence day with my fellow Ghanaians, whether in Ghana or abroad, to reminisce the fun childhood memories, genuine smiles, laughter, and friendship from those in Ghana, and the improvements the country has made over time. Ghana has so much to offer, it would take ages to blog about it. While this blog defines it very briefly, I also intend to remind others about the beauty our country has to offer, from our rich history, to traditions and culture, to languages, to fashion, and music.
